Jan 21, 2010 Y 10:49 AM This is my first time making outfits for sale. I've spent tones of time planning and making these to make sure everything is perfect to the "t". Photos will come up later, but i just wanted to talk about the process of making these dresses. Respect First off I want to say all the designers who make clothes for dollies and have new stuff very often has all my respect. I didn't realize how long it takes to plan, make and sell an outfit. I started off with just cutting out the pattern and then the sewing. But then after the sewing there's the packing where you have to run around and get material and make the package look nice. Then you gotta take photos of it! wow.. so much work and the outcome is a tiny tiny dress. Design The dresses this time are not my own pattern. It's entirely from Dolly Dolly magazine patterns with lots of tweaks here and there. For example, the sleeves I choose to do a long sleeve cause it's winter. These dresses are inspired from an anime I was watching at the time. |
